Citizenship is increasingly recognised by schools as a vital area of personal, social and health education. Barney and Echo – 'A friendship made' - Bullying and Vandalism

This is a fun and interactive support to bullying and vandalism education. It contains two stories and a variety of activities to reinforce and develop learning. The central character is an eagle named Barney. Barney is different from the other eagles and gets bullied because of the way he looks. Barney meets two new friends, Echo the squirrel and a little girl Georgie, who has just moved to the forest and is very lonely. In the second story Georgie's school gets vandalised and Barney and Echo have to save the day!The book is punctuated by activities which develop the learning objectives for the children. These activities can be carried out at home or in school.

Barney & Echo – 'A lesson learned' – Drugs, Tobacco and Alcohol

Like the 'A friendship made' booklet, this is again a fun and interactive support to education and in this case addresses the subjects of Drugs, Tobacco and Alcohol. It is child friendly and a superbly pitched publication providing a variety of activities to reinforce and develop learning.This booklet also follows the adventures of Barney Eagle and Echo Squirrel. With the help of a 'Magic Mirror' which can look into the future they learn the dangers of various every day substances.

Barney & Echo - 'Echo's new watch'- Knives

Echo Squirrel gets a new watch for his birthday but has it stolen from him when a group threaten him with a knife. It leads to Echo and his friends learing about why they shouldn't carry knives so they start a 'No to Knives' campaign to keep their home of Tree top Forest safe for everyone.

'The Dim Witts'

The story follows twins Zak and Sky, who fall out and eventually their rivalry leads to them forming gangs and using weapons. The twins soon reason how things can easily get out of hand and how their fighting can affect their loved ones when their Grandad gets ill.
